Hello.
Welcome to the home of Peyton Talbott III. I am an Advertising Creative Director & Designer who specializes in both Traditional and Interactive mediums. With over 30 years of experience in Advertising and Marketing... Brand Strategy and Brand Image are the driving force behind all the work I do. It doesn't matter if I'm working at the creative end of the spectrum or the technical, building a brand is a creative process that never stops.

The work you'll find on this website is only a sample of the many hats I've worn over the years. While there is a variety of project types shown here, the reality is that I see all of them as directly related. Whether it's a traditional print piece, tv spot, website or mobile app, my focus is about delivering a creative and consistent message across all mediums that makes the brand shine.

One of my favorite website designs I created was for Impact Your Image... also known as IYI! This client specializes in training women how to apply makeup at a professional level.

While I worked on the website, I had the chance to explore the fashion industry... and add in a touch of the sexiness and style you'd expect from popular magazines like Vogue or brands like Vidal Sassoon.

What makes this project even more remarkable is the technology behind it. The site was created in Adobe Flash for the animated movement on the page. I also did some extensive backend scripting where the frontend of the site dynamically downloads its content from a database. This approach allows the client to make direct modifications, ensuring the site stays fresh and up-to-date.

**Live samples of any project are available.

MyColorPalette.com is another website I created for IYI (Impact Your Image). As a sister site to IYI, MyColorPalette.com serves as a valuable resource for visitors to discover the perfect colors based on their skin type.
The design of this website embraced a minimalist approach while prioritizing functionality by cross-referencing color options within the database. Users can easily navigate through the intuitive interface to find personalized color recommendations that enhance their unique beauty.

I had the pleasure of creating an online class for Kentucky High School Students. The class covered over 30 counties with a curriculum focused on cancer awareness and treatment. The project was done in conjunction with the Brown Cancer Center in downtown Louisville, Kentucky And was designed to inspire students to become cancer researchers and scientists. I provided the structural design, interface design, and all programming.

To start off, students were given an eight module class in which they would study the material in each module, and be tested over what they learned. Their performance would be forwarded to their teacher, but in this case, the test would explain the correct answers if the student was having difficulty.

The final assignment in the module involved the student grouping up with three to four other students and creating a small documentary video over some aspect of what was in the module. Then, the group would upload their video creation to the "Learning Library" where the teacher and moderator would review it and then publish it to the rest of the class. This was all a customized engine that didn't rely on YouTube or Vimeo. The kids handled the script writing, shooting, voice over, editing, video compression, and posting to the library. This practice spread across all eight modules and really helped the learning library grow.

Unfortunately, State funding dried up and the program went away. Kentucky dataseam initiative still functions today but in a different capacity.

I designed the Luckett-Farley website to showcase the history and exceptional work of this renowned architectual company. With a legacy as the architects behind the iconic Twin Spires at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, the website pays tribute to their 150-year anniversary while embodying their newer contemporary brand image.

Also based in Flash, this website retrieves content from its database and features elegant yet minimal animation in the backgrounds of the pages; as well as page transitioning.

The design for the website one a best of category in the 2005 Louie Awards in Louisville Kentucky.

Introducing the vibrant website art gallery for the talented artist Carla Terwilleger, a project that allowed me to showcase her remarkable artwork in a visually captivating manner. Drawing inspiration from Carla's dynamic pop art style, I infused the design with elements and shapes derived from her artwork, integrating them into the backgrounds and menu designs of each page. This approach allowed me to complement Carla's distinctive style while bringing a sense of expression to the site. The splashes of vibrant colors strategically placed throughout the pages enhanced Carla's energetic and fun-filled artistic vibe.

The Estopinal Group website was designed to showcase the beautiful architectural work of the firm as a gallery of projects.

I created a minimalist and elegant aesthetic that allows the photography of their projects to take center stage.

As with most of the websites I programmed, I used a MySQL database that stored the content; which allowed the client to make changes to the content using a series of admin forms. The content was then downloaded to the site using PHP as middleware.

I have worked extensively in WordPress for the last 12 to 13 years. Not only have I created custom themes, but I have also created proprietary plugins for clients that perform functions for their specific needs. While these plugins are not available to the public, they give their website administrator improved functionality and control over the site.

In addition to the basic WordPress skill set, I also created a system to combine WordPress with a mobile app; allowing the client to update their mobile app by simply making changes to WordPress. Whenever the mobile app is opened on a device, it downloads new content from the WordPress database; and then formats it into the app on the fly.
